IDSA Foundation receives grant from the Nori Foundation to support early-career ID researchers who are IMGs

The IDSA Foundation is pleased to announce a generous grant from the Nori Family to establish the Nori Foundation Early-Career ID Research Award, a scholarship program designed to support early-career ID researchers who are visa-sponsored international medical graduates from any country of origin.

IDSA gratefully acknowledges the generosity of the Nori family, including Dattatreyudu Nori, MD, and Priya Nori, MD, FIDSA, for their commitment to advancing the next generation of ID researchers. The gift was inspired by Dr. D. Nori's receipt of the 2026 Padma Bhushan Award in Medicine, one of India's highest civilian honors. Additional information about the Early-Career ID Research Award program will be available in fall 2026.

The IDSA Foundation would also like to thank the leadership of the South Asians in ID Interest Group, especially Radhika Sheth, MD, Shipra Goel, MD, and Rana Chakraborty, MD, PhD, FIDSA, for helping to spearhead this initiative.
