Nori Foundation Early-Career ID Research Award

Applications for the Nori Foundation Early-Career ID Research Award will open in January 2027. Please visit this page for additional information once applications have opened.

The IDSA Foundation's Nori Foundation Early-Career ID Research Award is a scholarship program designed to support early-career ID researchers who are visa-sponsored international medical graduates from any country of origin. This award aims to provide clinical investigators, medical educators, and future leaders in the field of adult ID who are ineligible for federal funding due to non-permanent resident status with the foundational skills, mentorship, and financial support to augment their career growth.

A three-year, $30,000 annual grant from the Nori Foundation will enable the IDSA Foundation to award up to three $10,000 grants each year to eligible early-career ID researchers.

The award will seek proposals that demonstrate a measurable public health and community engagement impact within the field of ID, with a preference for work in under-resourced and rural communities. Possible research project topics include, but are not limited to, tropical medicine, antimicrobial resistance, vaccine promotion, health equity in ID, transplant ID and medical education.

IDSA gratefully acknowledges the generosity of the Nori family for their commitment to advancing the next generation of ID researchers. Read more in the IDSA Foundation's award announcement
